Dear Friends,

I am delighted that so many among our Ner Tamid community have expressed interest in attending AIPAC’s annual policy conference in Washington from May 3-5 of 2009. This conference is, perhaps, the single most important venue for expressing our support for Israel on an annual basis. It is also our best opportunity to learn about the American/Israeli relationship and the interests, values, and strategic partnerships shared by our country and The State of Israel. With Iran threatening Israel’s destruction and efforts to terrorize Israel’s citizens continuing on the part of Palestinians, our presence, both to learn and to lobby, is absolutely vital! Indeed, leading our congregation’s delegation in Washington is one of the most meaningful and rewarding roles in which I serve as your Rabbi.

If you wish to attend, please register for the conference as soon as possible; please be advised that hotels are booking up very quickly for this conference. Please register for the conference and book your hotel as follows:

1a.     On the web, please go to www.AIPAC.org and register for the conference.

      (or)

1b.     Please call our AIPAC regional office at (323) 937-1184 and register by telephone.

    1. Immediately upon completing registration for the conference (whether online or by telephone), book your hotel room (this way you will benefit from the AIPAC group rate available for your hotel stay). Please try to arrange to stay at the Renaissance Marriott, 999 Ninth Street NW, Washington D.C. 20001 (the closest available hotel to the Convention Center).

    2. Upon completing your registration for the conference, please email Pat Richman at prichman@nertamid.com or call her at (310) 377-6986 to inform her that you should be added to the list of the CNT Delegation. Please ONLY call Pat to have her add your name to the CNT Delegation AFTER you have registered for the conference.  It is important that you let me know (via your email or call to Pat) that you want to be included in the CNT Delegation as I am arranging for some special opportunities at the conference that will be open only to members of our delegation.

I sincerely hope that you will join us in Washington so that we can together make a substantial and significant difference on behalf of Israel. I look forward to hearing back from you over the next several days (via your email to Pat).

B’Shalom – With Blessings of Peace and Wholeness,

Rabbi Isaac Jeret
